A pretty common question I get is... What is the difference between weed and hasj? I'll tell you:

Weed is a part of the hemp/marihuana plant. We smoke the buds from the plant, because that is where the most THC is. Buds grow on top of the plant and look something like this: Click!
There is also some THC in the rest of the plant, some people use a lot of leaves from the plant to make tea. Especially people who use it medically, they have benefit from the weed even if they take too little to get high or stoned.

The amount of THC in weed is somewhere from 10-20% depending on type of plant.

How to get hasj:
If you take weed and put it on a big screen/sift. (Don't know the common used word, im dutch xD) And shake it so the smallest parts get thru. Those smallest parts are parts with a light colour and much THC. The smaller the holes in the sifts used, the more THC will get in the hasj. And the more expensive the hasj will be, because more of the marihuana plant is being thrown away.

After the sifting the residu is being compressed and heated or cooled down in most cases. Ice-o-lator hasj contains a lot of THC and is being cooled while compressed. You can make your own hasj too, but i will explain that in a different thread.

Ok, they probably do, but they cant sell it anymore, so when you do that on big scale, you have lots to smoke for yourself.. or sell it as 'budget' xD

ONLY the biggest leaves who are at distance from the tops have to be thrown away.
they are not worth is because there's almost no THC on it
