I came to wonder the other day about how various societies/countries general public view use of psychoactive drugs, like weed or magic mushrooms.
Where I live, Denmark, it is viewed quite ill upon, but is also illegal, which means for a lot of people being generally uneducated and unknowning about how those drugs actually work and what they are.
I can't help but wonder how usage of weed and magic mushrooms is viewed in a country like the Netherlands, where said usage is fully legal, under certain regulations however, but still legal.
Is it acceptable and something people talk about openly or is it frowned upon by a large portion of society?
well, officially its not legal, its illegal but you wont be procecuted when u have, for instance, under 5 grams, or less then 3 plants (and no lamps, blabla)
But also here many people dont know what it is and are against it, but it seems to be a bit looser in the bigger cities.
People that see you go in the coffeeshop always look like 'there goes a junkie'
